Strengthening Grassroots Rugby League: Our 2024 Mission

Since 2021, the ABF Future Immortals Tour has been a powerful advocate for health, education, and grassroots Rugby League in regional and remote areas. As we set our sights on 2024, the tour is embarking on a new phase with a particular emphasis on Foundation Sponsorship, offering an incredible opportunity for organisations to become a pivotal part of our journey.

The Arthur Beetson Foundation (ABF) empowers Indigenous Australians and regional communities, creating opportunities and change in the legacy of Arthur Beetson. By supporting the ABF Future Immortals Tour and participating in our community initiatives, you help Big Artie's vision drive positive change, contributing to the living legacy.

Joining the ABF Future Immortals Tour are Queensland's Rugby League Immortals: patrons Wally Lewis and Mal Meninga and Ambassador Petero Civoniceva.

Introducing the Artie Beetson Academy:

In our ongoing pursuit of Foundation Sponsorship, our primary aim is to launch the Artie Beetson Academy, a pivotal step in nurturing and empowering Indigenous talent destined to shape the future of the NRL.

With over 10% of NRL players proudly identifying as Indigenous, including standout athletes like Latrell Mitchell, Jack Wighton, and Josh Addo-Carr, there is a wealth of untapped talent within the Indigenous community. While these players showcase the potential of Indigenous athletes in the NRL, there's a collective belief that more can and should be done to enhance Indigenous pathways.

The Arthur Beetson Foundation envisions a future where this divide is eliminated. Our mission is to provide the essential support and opportunities gifted Indigenous youth require to navigate their journey towards NRL success. By recognizing the tremendous potential of emerging athletes and addressing systemic challenges, we aim to ensure that the next generation of Indigenous stars realise their aspirations and enhance the vibrancy and inclusivity of the NRL.

Join us on this remarkable journey to contribute and help us in our commitment to strengthening Indigenous pathways.
